Ambassador Visits Gdańsk, Łódź

Amb. Ashe visits Gdańsk August 26-27 to call on local government and church officials, as well as former Pres. Lech Wałęsa. He will also lay a wreath at the monument to the heroes of Westerplatte. This is the Ambassador's first visit outside of Warsaw since presenting his credentials to Pres. Kwasniewski August 17. On August 29, Amb. Ashe travels to Łódź for the 60th anniversary of the liquidation of the Łódź Ghetto.
