Anne Hall arrived in Krakow on August 8, 2006, as Consul General. Prior to her arrival she served in the State Department’s Bureau of European Affairs from 2001-2005, where she participated in negotiations leading to a United Nations Settlement for Cyprus in 2004. She also worked on Nordic and Baltic issues and has served in several senior staff positions, including as Special Assistant to Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Special Assistant to Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Maura Harty, and on the staff of Executive Secretary of the Department Marc Grossman. Ms. Hall was Chief of the Consular Section in Shanghai, China from 1997-2000, Economic Officer in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 1989-1990, and Consular Officer in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1988. She speaks Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese and some Polish.
