Ten Finger Scanning Info

Most applicants applying for the U.S. visas must have 10 fingerprints taken. The applicant will first place their four left hand fingers together on the scanner followed by their right four fingers and then their two thumbs together as shown in the pictures below.

An applicant who is required to have their fingers scanned and who has a cut, wound, blister or other temporary skin injury on his/her index finger can not complete the visa application process. The applicant will be asked to come back again when the index finger is healed for finger scanning.
