The Anthony Cox /Adam Pieronczyk Quartet will be our next, truly international project staring four musicians coming from three continents. They will present a totally new program during their three-week long European tour starting on January 15 in Sucha Beskidzka, appearing at Torun Jan. 16, Gdansk Jan. 17, Gorzow Jan. 18, outside Poland Jan. 19-26 (Berlin, Lipzig, Munich, Nurnberg, Passau, Linz, Budapest, and Bratislava), Tarnow Jan. 27, Krakow Jan. 28, and Warsaw Jan. 29-30. Cox and Pieronczyk first met ten years ago but only in 2005 did they commence their official cooperation with a joint project for Leipziger Jazztage Festival. In summer 2007 they decided to start a group. They will be accompanied by an Australian Adrian Mears on trombone and didgeridoo and Krzysztof Dziedzic on drums.
