Martha Stewart Opens Exhibit of Her Photographs in Warsaw

Martha Stewart opens her photo exhibit in Almi Decor (more photos)
Famed housekeeping and decorating guru Martha Stewart visited Warsaw June 20 to open the first exhibition of her photography in Poland, announced Cultural Attaché, James Wolfe. The collection of American landscape photos by this icon of American pop-culture (with Polish family roots) was brought to Poland from New York by Nielsen Polska. The opening took place June 20 at 19:00 and the exhibit will remain on display at the salon of Almi Décor in Zlote Tarasy until July 5.

Over the last two decades Martha Stewart (born Martha Helen Kostyra) has held a prominent position in the American publishing industry; as the author of several books, hundreds of articles on the domestic arts, editor of a national housekeeping magazine, and host of two popular daytime television programs. After a highly publicized corporate fraud trial, Stewart was found guilty in March 2004 of conspiracy, obstruction of an agency proceeding, and making false statements to federal investigators and sentenced to serve a five month term in a federal correctional facility and a two year period of supervised release. Following her release from prison in March 2005, Stewart launched a highly publicized comeback, and was once again involved in Martha Stewart Living.
