David Silver

Professor David Silver is Davies Professor of Media Studies at the University of San Francisco, where he teaches courses on “digital democracy,” digital journalism, and introductory media studies, and Director of the University’s Resource Center for Cyberculture Studies, which he founded in 1996 while at the University of Maryland. He is also the co-founder and co-director of The September Project, a grassroots effort to encourage events about freedom and democracy in all libraries and countries during the month of September.
