Jacek Michałowski, Program Director of Polish-American Freedom Foundation (2000-present)
He is responsible mostly for creation and supervision of the foreign programs under PAFF’s priority Sharing the Polish Experiences in Transformation. 1998-2000, Director General of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland. 1990-1998, Director of the Research Office of the Chancellery of the Senate of Poland. 1989-1990, Advisor and Special Assistant to the Deputy Speaker of the Senate of Poland. 1980-1989, Psychotherapist/Psychologist - Psychotherapeutic Centre ‘Synapsis’ in Warsaw. Founding Member - Polish-Ukrainian Forum. 1982-1988, volunteer at the “Solidarity” underground movement. 1980-1982, secretary - Psychiatric Health Department chapter of ‘Solidarity’. 1976-1980, volunteer at ‘KOR’, an organisation assisting striking workers. Since 1975 member of the Catholic Intellectuals` Club (‘KIK’).  Education: MA in Clinical Psychology, 1981.  Masters’ thesis on Conflict Solutions in Interdependent Situations. Institute of Psychology, University of Warsaw (1975-1981).
