Cunningham Speaks On Revitalization In Warsaw

Storm Cunningham, Executive Director of the Revitalization Institute (RI), visited the cities of Lodz and Warsaw February 6 to10 in support of Poland’s revitalization efforts. Cunningham spoke at a conference in Lodz, which is transforming old textile factories, museums, and city blocks into tourist attractions, private business venues, and places of employment. In Warsaw, Cunningham discussed modern revitalization methods with the Mayors of the Warsaw districts of Praga and Podkowa Lesna and Warsaw University professors and city officials. Cunningham completed a presentation of the findings from his best-selling book “Restoration Economy,” to a standing-room-only crowd at Warsaw’s Zacheta Gallery. Polish monthlies Urbanista and Architektura Murator will run interviews with Cunningham in their upcoming issues.
