Eve Duffy

Eve Duffy is Assistant Professor in the History Department at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She specializes in European history, with a particular focus on the cultural and social history of modern Germany. Her interest in museums, technology, and visual culture stems from her dissertation, entitled Representing Science and Technology: Politics and Display in the Deutches Museum, 1903-1945. She earned a BA at Midwestern State University, and a Magister degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich) in 1993. She returned to the United States to complete her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the direction of Konrad H. Jarausch. She is currently a Fellow at New York University's Remarque Institute, (hot link) which is devoted to the study of Europe, and to encouraging communication between Americans and Europeans.
