Embassy Events 2006Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist Leads Delegation To Warsaw10 April 2006 |

U.S. Senate Majority Leader, Dr. Bill Frist of Tennessee, led a Senate delegation to Poland April 10-11. The delegation included Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH), Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), and the Secretary of the Senate Emily Reynolds. The delegation met with President Kaczynski, Prime Minister Marcinkiewicz, and President of the Senate Borusewicz. The delegation arrived from Moscow before continuing on to Tblisi. During a press conference on the 11th Senator Frist noted that "I support the Mikulski amendment to include Poles in the Visa Waiver Program" and downplayed recent press reports of a possible U.S. air strike in Iran.
