Bill Gates and Ambassador Ashe met with Presidential Chancellery officials and top Polish IT students on February 2nd. Mr. Gates, founder and chairman of Microsoft, was in Warsaw to announce Microsoft Corporation’s new Centre for Software Development. The facility will be Microsoft’s third such facility in the world and will employ approximately 40 Poles. Mr. Gates also announced that he would open more training centers in Poland, where he intends to issue grants to facilitate the development of Polish sciences and to increase opportunities for young people from rural areas.
