The next American Thursday meeting will be held on March 18 at 3:00 p.m. The speaker will be Professor William Glass. His discussion topic will be "Historians and Film". William R. Glass is professor of history at Mississippi University for Women where he teaches classes on film history, Southern society, and American religion. For the 2003-04 academic year, he is a Fulbright lecturer in the American Studies Center at the University of Warsaw. He has published numerous articles on religion in the American South. He also wrote the book: Strangers in Zion: Fundamentalists in the South, 1900-1950. He received his BA from Center College and MA and PhD from Emory University.
