Political Officer John Gorkowski sketched out U.S. policy towards the Middle East to American Studies Center students


On December 4, at the Speakers Bureau program, Political Officer John Gorkowski spoke to the students and teachers of the American Studies Center about U.S. policy toward Iraq, Iran, North Korea and Afghanistan. Emphasizing the importance of Iraq in the Global War Against Terrorism, John reiterated President Bush’s mission and goals while outlining U.S. assistance to Iraq and Afghanistan. John also explained U.S. support for the six-party talks with North Korea.

During this Speakers Bureau event American Studies Center students were given an opportunity to ask many questions relating to U.S. international relations and foreign policy, engaging the Speaker in a political discussion. John offered the students an up-to-date briefing on U.S. policy towards the Middle East from the position of the U.S. government.
