A Message From President George W. Bush to President Aleksander Kwasniewski in Observance of Poland's Independence Day

5 November 2004
President George W. Bush

President George W. Bush

Dear Mr. President:

Please accept my warmest congratulations as you and the Polish people celebrate Poland's Indpendence Day on November 11.

Today, with Polish and American independence secure and intertwined in the trans-atlantic alliance, we continue to fight for the blessings of liberty in other lands that do not yet enjoy them. I am proud to call Poland an ally, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight for freedom and democracy in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Bosnia, and around the world.

I offer you my best wishes on this special day.

Sincerely,
George W. Bush
