The U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho National Engineering and
Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) will conduct a technology exchange
meeting with Polish representatives May 5-7, 2003, in Idaho Falls,
Idaho. Participants will discuss potential solutions to issues facing
Poland as it works toward joining the European Union. The discussions
will address a variety of technologies and capabilities available at
the INEEL and within Poland, the application of these technologies and
capabilities to problems facing Poland today, and the foreign
scientist/engineer exchange programs available through the U. S.
Department of Energy (DOE).
The INEEL is located in the Western
United States (near Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA) and has a long history of
solving national and international problems related to nuclear power
safety; nuclear fuel processing and storage; radioactive material
accountability and tracking; environmental
management and cleanup; and national security.
