Cultural Attaché Talks with English Students at Pedagogical University in Kielce

Cultural Attaché Jim Wolfe spoke about American Culture to about 40 students of the English Department of the Pedagogical University in Kielce the morning of December 21. The talk focused on the ideas of individualism, equality, and freedom that underlie much of American thought and culture and examples of these concepts in American historical documents, literature, music and film, and pop culture. After the lecture, the students asked a wide variety of questions, ranging from visa issues, to Polish and American politics, to the life and impressions of an American diplomat in Poland.
