Intern Vacancy Annoucement: PSIP/I/ODC


Open to:  Eligible Polish Students
Position:  Student Intern in the Office of Defense Cooperation
Opening Date: March 23, 2009
Closing Date:  April 6, 2009
Work Hours:  4 hours per day/5 days per week
Duration:  7 July – September 12, 2009

Note: All applicants must be of Polish citizenship and meet the required definition of student as provided in the application materials to be eligible for consideration.

The U.S. Embassy in Warsaw is seeking an individual for the position of Student Intern in the Office of Defense Cooperation.

Major Duties or Projects:
 
• Assist Section’s officers in day-to-day operations, interact with the Polish military
• Prepare general correspondence
• Perform scheduling and filing tasks
• Assist in preparing briefs

Qualifications Required

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle complex scenarios, make sound judgments
• Languages: English (Level 3), Polish (Level 4)
• Good computer and telephone skills
• Knowledge of MS Office Software applications
• Ability to learn new skills quickly.
