Kutno Orphanage Receives Baseball Equipment

Ambassador Ashe with Kutno Representatives

On February 13, 2006, US Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe presented baseball uniforms and supplies to the orphanage and youth baseball league in Kutno. The equipment was donated by Mr. Jeff Chapman of the North Coast Section - an organization that organizes youth sports programs in northern California. The Defense Attaché Office, headed by COL Henry Nowak, the Defense Attaché, facilitated the donation. Mrs. Beata Kaszuba of the Kutno Little League and Mrs. Dorota Cwirko-Godecka, the director of the Kutno Orphanage, and five children from the orphanage, accepted the gifts.
