U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe joined U.S. and Polish officials and citizens in celebrating American Independence in Warsaw, Poznan and Lancut. This year marks the 229th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Festivities were also held in Krakow to mark the occasion. Ambassador Ashe’s comments highlighted the contributions of two Polish sons, Kazimierz Pulaski and Tadeusz Kosciuszko, in the American struggle for independence.
