Ambassador Ashe in Lower Silesia

On January 12-13, 2005, U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe met with local representatives and businesses in several towns in Lower Silesia. The trip included visits to Wrocław, Legnica, Bleslawiec, and Polkowice. Highlights of the trip included discussing the legacy of Pope John Paul the II with Bishop Cichy in Legnica, a tour of a pottery plant in Boleslawiec, and traveling a full kilometer underground to tour the Polkowice-Sieroszowice Copper and Salt Mine.
