Cultural Attaché Jim Wolfe was among the guests awarded a special prize for the most faithful supporters of the International Dance Theaters’ Festival during the November 9 opening gala in Lublin. The Embassy has been supporting the festival since its conception. Attended by local authorities and dance fans from all over Poland, the opening performance star was the legendary Paul Taylor Dace Theater, showing 3 reconstructed pieces that the Festival commissioned especially for the occasion.
The festival runs from Nov 8 – 12 and features groups from Poland, Paul Taylor Dance Theater and Joe Alter from the United States, as well as theaters representing all continents. The various companies perform and also conduct workshops with dancers and choreographers from Poland and neighboring countries.
