On November 5, Lieutenant Colonel Chris Chaveron and Lieutenant Colonel Ray Wojcik from the Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation participated in a charity Spinning Marathon at the Marriot Hotel. The annual Spinning Marathon raises money for the Children's Burn Treatment Center in Krakow, and is coordinated by Poland's Schwinn Cycling organizers. The 6 hour endurance event involved over 100 cyclists and was held in Champions at the Marriot Hotel, Warsaw. LTC Charveron and LTC Wojcik participated along with their Schwinn indoor cycling teammates from Club Oasis, Hyatt Hotel Warsaw. Lukasz Majewski is the Club Oasis Team Captain; he and assistant Team Captain, Zbyszek Skorczynski led the Club Oasis team during the grueling 6-hour event. |
