A delegation from the United States Conference of Mayors visited Poland September 8 - 10.

The delegation was led by the President of the Conference, Mayor Donald L. Plusquellic of Akron, Ohio; the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Conference, Mayor Michael A. Guido of Dearborn, Michigan; and the Executive Director of the Conference, Tom Cochran.

While in Poland, the delegation visited Auschwitz, laid a wreath at the Memorial to the Warsaw Uprising in Warsaw, and called on the Mayor of Warsaw, Lech Kaczynski.

The Delegation also called on Ambassador Victor Ashe, himself President of the Conference of Mayors in 1995, and had breakfast with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw.
