Ambassador Ashe with Visiting International MBA Students

Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, spoke to students from the University of Illinois’ International MBA program on January 11. The Ambassador welcomed the group, noted the historical close ties between Poland and the U.S., and touched upon ongoing efforts on both sides to increase economic cooperation. Embassy representatives discussed the economic relationship between the US and Poland, American business investments, and the current economic climate. Poland’s American Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Dorota Dabrowska, also spoke and described the operations of American companies in Poland and talked about the chamber’s mission. At the end of the session, the MBA students had a chance to ask questions ranging from Poland’s experience in the European Union, to issues related to business corruption, to the status of regional economic development efforts.
