NATO-related Competition Winners Honored

Amb. Ashe congratulates one of the winners

The Embassy hosted a lunch on May 25 at the Ambassador’s residence for the winners of the Euro-Atlantic Association’s Aliante competition.

Aliante is an annual Internet-based competition which challenges Polish youth’s knowledge about the NATO alliance.

The fourteen finalists, who came from the farthest reaches of Poland, will go on to the international competition in Slovakia against youth from seven other NATO countries.

As an added incentive, Poland’s representative from United Technologies Corporation announced that his company will contribute an Internet lab to the school of the students who advance the farthest in the international competition, as well as three laptops to the top three Polish finalists.
