U.S. Naval Postgraduate School Trains Polish Armed Forces

7 March 2006

In support of Polish military transformations, the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation sponsored a training course on defense acquisition for 80 representatives of the Polish Armed Forces, research institutes, and industry. The course, held from February 20 through March 3, 2006 at the Military Communication Institute in Zegrze, was organized by the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in collaboration with the Department of Armament Policy, Ministry of National Defense.

This was the first in a series of four courses planned for 2006 designed to provide fundamental knowledge and functioning examples of a modern, efficient and transparent acquisition system. Further training will take place in cooperation with Poland’s Military University of Technology which has collaborated with NPS in this area for several years.
