On January 31 Professor William O’Malley from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Civil Military Relations and Major Ray Wojcik from the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation visited Brigadier General Maj, Deputy Commandant of the National Defense University (NDU) of Warsaw. Mr. O’Malley and Brigadier General Maj discussed a planned $150,000 project to bring 12 Naval Postgraduate School Instructors to the NDU in May of 2006. The project will be funded with U.S. Security Assistance Foreign Military Financing. The three week program will focus on Joint Staff operations and training for senior planners and will include participants from Poland’s NDU, Ministry of Defense, and other ministries.
