Pianist David Northington wraps up Warsaw tour with a private recital at Ambassador’s Residence

Professor Northington performed selected works by Aaron Copland and Frederyk Chopin for an audience of about 75 guests including Foreign Minister Fotyga and several Ambassadors in the home of Ambassador Victor Ashe on May 24. His final concert in Poland on this tour is May 25 at the Music Academy in Katowice at 19:00. Northington also played well-received concerts May 22 at the Dom Polonii in Pułtusk, north of Warsaw, and May 23 at the Zamek Ostrogskich’s Museum Frederyka Chopina in Warsaw. Northington is a professor of piano at the University of Tennessee School of Music in Knoxville, TN.
