U.S. Naval Personnel conducted a Military to Military familiarization event with Polish Navy personnel on preventive maintenance and supply processes, procedures and organizational topics. CDR Dennis Florance from Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center in Naples, Italy and LCDR Todd Lunsford from Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia spoke to 20 Polish Naval personnel during a visit to the Polish Navy Headquarters on February 9-12. During the well-attended three-day event, briefings concentrated on structure of the supply system, naval logistics, US Navy ship life cycle maintenance, and provisions.
This important familiarization event was made possible thanks to the U.S. European Command’s Military-to-Military Program. Events such as this one strengthen long-standing Polish-American military cooperation while enhancing mutual interoperability and operational capabilities. Poland has received more than $31 million under the Combined Education Training Program (CETP) which includes: the International Military Education Training (IMET) Program, the Military to Military (M2M) Program, the State Partnership Program (SPP), and the Combating Terrorism Fellowship Program (CTFP). Poland utilizes U.S. support to help transform and modernize the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
