U.S.-Poland Joint Research Continues on Chemical Defense

A review of an international, multimillion-dollar research program took place on July 27 in Warsaw at the Military Institute of Chemistry and Radiometry (WIChiR). The project is funded by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) under a contract with METSS Corporation. WIChiR joined the program in 2006 to study interactions of chemical agents with various substrates and develop methods for their analysis and modeling. Besides progress report, the technical discussions focused on future opportunities for WIChiR to participate in DTRA’s planned activities.
