The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe(OSCE) is holding the largest Human Rights and Democracy meeting in Europe, its annual “Human Dimension Implementation” meeting (HDIM), in Warsaw from September 19th to 30th. The head of the US Delegation, International Republican Institute (IRI) President and former Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, Lorne Craner, stated the primary American objective for the meeting was to reinvigorate the collaborative trans-Atlantic institution geared at democracy building. Also attending the HDIM as part of the US Delegation are U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE, Julie Finley, Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues, Ambassador Edward O’Donnell, and Chief of Staff of the US Helsinki Commission, Sean Woo.
