Members of American Studies Club from Lodz at Meet America Program

Members of the American Studies Club of Lodz University visited the U.S. Embassy on May 15, 2009 for a Meet America Program to listen to the Deputy Chief of Mission and the Embassy Press Attaché. The Deputy Chief of Mission spoke to the students interested in the U.S. about the role of Poland in the U.S. intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the U.S. mission to combat terrorism worldwide. The Press Attaché James Wolfe spoke about 90 years of Polish-American diplomatic relations, the anniversary of which is celebrated by both countries in 2009. The diplomats answered the guests’ questions about U.S. –Polish current relations and the role the U.S. diplomats have in strengthening the relations in their diplomatic missions in Poland.
