Lisa Piascik joined the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service in 1980. She has served in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Philippines and Azerbaijan, as well as a number of assignments in the Department of State, Washington DC. She graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelors degree in International Affairs and from the National Defense University with a Master’s in National Security Studies. Ms. Piascik has served as Consul General Embassy Warsaw since August, 2004.

Aleksandra Augustyniak holds a B.A. in British Studies and M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Warsaw University, Poland. She worked formerly for the Polish Academy of Sciences as a U.S. and British exchange program specialist before joining the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission in 1993 as Educational Adviser. She has been running a one-person Educational Information Office in Poland for the last ten years.
