Reports that Paul Bremer, former Coalition Provisional Administrator in Iraq, criticized Polish troops who are part of the Coalition Forces in Iraq in his recently published book, do not reflect US Government views. U.S. Ambassador to Poland ,Victor Ashe, wishes to emphasize that the United States Government has the highest regard for the Polish military, and that the United States recognizes and is grateful for the heroism, sacrifice and leadership of the Polish Army in Iraq and in other parts of the Global War on Terrorism.
Ambassador Ashe expresses his regrets that such aspersions may have been cast on the brave men and women of the Polish Army.
