If I have a currently valid visa but I’ve recently been married and changed my name, do I need to apply for a new visa in my new name?

No – U.S. regulations do not require that you obtain a new visa in your new name. You may travel to the U.S. with the visa and passport in your maiden name together with a copy of your marriage certificate as proof of your name change. However, if you would like to obtain a new visa in your new name you are welcome to do so. You will need to apply through our normal application procedure.
