For the fourth time in five years, the US Embassy Warsaw hosted a large-scale cultural festival outside of Poland's major cities.

This year’s American Days festival took place from July 7-10 in four towns in the north and northwest: Szczecinek, Charzykowy, Człuchów, and Tczew.

American Days is a festival of American music, dance, theater, sport, and visual arts that brings the 4th of July holiday celebration closer to the Polish people.

The festival included performances from three musical groups—Asterland Congress, Billy Bacon and the Forbidden Pigs, and the Old Grey Goose; two dance groups— the Joe Alter Dance Company and the Nai Ni Chen Dance Group; and one theater troupe—Hand2Mouth.

In addition, there were exhibits in each town, with works by photographers David Michael Kennedy, Tomek Niewiadomski, Jan Hausbrandt, and Gary Monroe, as well as by graphic artist Marek Los.

Other events included demonstrations of American football by the Warsaw Eagles American football club and poetry readings by poet Georgia Scott.
