On May 31, Ambassador Ashe, accompanied by COL Stan Prusinski, Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation, participated in the "last bolt" ceremony at the Pratt & Whitney/WSK PZL-Rzeszow engine plant. This ceremony was held to symbolically commemorate the "last bolt" being tightened on a Pratt & Whitney F100 engine, which will power the new fleet of Polish Air Force F-16s. The engines are assembled and tested in Poland and subsequently joined to the aircraft in Fort Worth. The first four aircraft will be delivered to Poland in November 06.
