On behalf of the American people, I extend my warmest congratulations to you and the Polish people on the occasion of your national day on November 11.

A celebration of Polish independence is a time for great pride in all that your country has achieved. Today, Poland’s narrative inspires people from other countries who are still struggling for their freedom. We also admire your significant contributions to helping new democracies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and elsewhere. In these pursuits, the United States is proud to count Poland as a steadfast ally and friend.
