On December 11, as part of the “Read with the Embassy” initiative, Office Management Specialist Amanda Prytherch visited a primary school in Warsaw where she read the book, The Big Hungry Caterpillar, and spoke about the diversity of American landscapes and society. After reading and discussing the message of the book, she also answered numerous questions about Christmas traditions in the U.S. and her career as an American diplomat. The “Read with the Embassy” initiative focuses on young English learners by sending American diplomats to Polish primary schools to read English language books for children.
