Professor Paul Rundquist

PAUL RUNDQUIST, a Specialist in American National Government with the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress, is an expert on the organization and procedures of American government and politics. He recently has been working with Members of Congress and committees on reforms made in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and is currently working on reforms to Congress’s committee system to handle homeland security and intelligence issues more effectively. He has extensive connections with Poland dating from the early 1990's and his work for Congress’s Task Force on Parliamentary Modernization in Eastern Europe. He was a Fulbright professor teaching at Warsaw University and the Jagiellonian University from 1996-1998, and in September 2004, was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. He received M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago. He teaches at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management and Catholic University’s MA Program in Congressional Studies.
