Warsaw DCM Promotes U.S. Human Rights Policy


As part of the Embassy’s Speakers Bureau Program, Deputy Chief of Mission, Kenneth Hillas, spoke on US human rights policy to three different audiences in Lodz on December 8. Hillas addressed student groups at the Graduate School of International Relations, another at the American Studies Department of Lodz University, and a third group of high school students at the American Corner in Lodz. Hillas highlighted the importance of Human Rights Day on December 10 and human rights problems that the US faced decades ago such as segregation as well as the current situation at Abu Ghraib.
