Deputy Press Attache Chris Snipes spoke to Gdansk University students

Deputy Press Attache Chris Snipes spoke to a group of 60+ students of the Institute of Psychology of Gdansk University in Gdansk on January 19, 2008 on the roots of American culture.  He covered a short history of the United States and established a common definition of culture to illustrate several key cultural values of Americans.  The students were very engaged, and engaging, in the discussion, and asked questions for 45 minutes after the talk.  Professor of Psychology Aneta Chybicka, who helped coordinate the event, expressed her wish that the Insitute could continue to work with the U.S. Embassy to bring similary speakers to Gdansk, and also to participate in their upcoming conference on gender and multiculturalism in March, 2008.
