On December 6, 2007, First Secretary David Morris visited the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia, Poland.  Following a meeting with the Commandant of the Academy, Rear Admiral Czeslaw Dyrcz, Mr. Morris delivered multimedia presentations about the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense program and plans for a European Interceptor Site in Poland to two separate audiences -  first to a gathering of 3rd and 5th year Academy cadets and - then to a group of mid-level naval officers and Naval Academy faculty.  Both audiences showed great interest in the subject and asked well informed questions, so many that Morris was unable to respond to them in the time allotted.  The Embassy has been invited to return to the Naval Academy to speak on the same and other topics.
