Deputy Press Attache Chris Snipes spoke to a group of 75 students at the teacher training college in Sandomierz on December 1, 2007, about the roots of American culture.  He discussed the history of the United States and how the people who settled and later emigrated to North America from the 17th through the 20th centuries have created a culture known for problem-solving, freedom of speech and expression, and a focus on individual accomplishment as a building block of strong society.  Students asked questions about American slang, U.S. lifestyles, and the foreign service lifestyle.
