Senior Master Sergeant Julie Brummund, a member of the U.S. Embassy's Defense Attache Office, gave remarks at the Warsaw European Aviation School's inauguration of the new school year. She thanked the young men and women of the school for honoring her fellow airmen and congratulated them on the start of their promising educational path. Taking place in the solemn halls of Porczynski Family Museum, the ceremony to swear in the school's freshmen students is based on the chivalric traditions of Polish aviation. The school was founded to honor the 7th Kosciuszko Squadron, a unit established by American pilots. Both the Polish and US national anthems were played during the ceremony.
