Speakers Bureau Warsaw addresses Iraq and Afghanistan issues with students

On Tuesday, March 20, Vice-Consul Chris Snipes and Sergeant Chris Mason of the Marine Security Guards, spoke on the work of diplomats in Iraq and Afghanistan and the experience of marines in Iraq before more than 200 students of the Oskar Kolberg High School in Koscian, Poland.  Koscian is a town in central western Poland of approximately 25,000 people; Kolberg High School is the largest high school in Koscian, with about 1,000 students.  The presentations lasted 30 minutes, after which Embassy representatives responded to questions from the students for an hour, on topics ranging from continued U.S. involvement in Iraq to the speakers' impressions of Poland.  Students from all three years of high school attended the event.  Also in attendance were the mayor of Koscian, the Kolberg High School principle, six of the teachers from the school's English language department, and a member of Koscian's local press.
