The theme for the TADCC this year was “Interoperability through Cooperation – Enhancing the Transatlantic Partnership”. Ambassador Ashe outlined the role of the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) in Central Eastern Europe using Poland’s example, and shared his personal experiences as an Ambassador in the region.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation is a foundation/think-tank affiliated with the Bavarian Christian Social Union (sister party to the national Christian Democratic Union).

Ambassador Ashe also toured the George C. Marshall Center in Garmisch and the NATO School in Oberammergau.
