Procedures for Issuance of American Passports

U.S. Embassy Warsaw and Consulate General Krakow

The U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and the Consulate General in Krakow accept all types of passport applications on a walk-in basis during normal hours of operation. No appointment is necessary.


U.S. Consular Agency Poznan

The U.S. Consular Agency in Poznan has limited passport services. Most applicants renewing passports can apply without an appointment during normal business hours. Other types of passport services are by appointment only. These include the following:

  • Applicants who are applying for their first U.S. passport,

  • all children under age 16,

  • persons applying for their first passport after age 16,

  • replacements for lost, stolen and mutilated passports,

  • and applicants applying to renew a passport that has been expired for more than 5 years
