Ambassador Ashe with a delegation of visiting UT students

The U.S. Embassy hosted a delegation of students from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Campus, led by Cole Piper, May 15-17, 2006. The students are majoring in Retail and Consumer Sciences and are studying retail management, retail buying and planning, operations management and other related subject areas. After graduation, most of the students will secure positions in the management divisions of major retail companies. The purpose of the trip was educational and the main goals were to expose students to retailing methods in Poland. During their stay in Warsaw and Krakow they met with Polish and international retailers, Polish students, and also attended a reception hosted by Ambassador Ashe.
