Ambassador Victor Ashe traveled through the Warminsko-Mazurskie province on April 25-26 as part of his program of visiting local officials in all of Poland’s regions.

The main topics discussed were economic development and needed improvements in transportation infrastructure, both in the province and throughout Poland.

During the trip, Amb. Ashe met with local officials and members of the media in the towns of Olsztyn, Swieta Lipka, Ketrzyn, Gierloz, Mragowo and Nidzica.

In addition, he consulted with the province’s governor and marshal, and visited Catholic and Lutheran church leaders.

While in Olsztyn, Ambassador Ashe visited the campus of the University of Warminsko-Mazurskie, and discussed educational issues with the school’s rector.

Warminsko-Mazurskie is the 15th of Poland’s 16 provinces Amb. Ashe has visited since arriving in Poland nine months ago.
